Welcome to Pisces Molecular

Pisces Molecular LLC is a molecular genetics lab that applies molecular techniques to assist managers and researchers with aquatic environmental issues.  The lab utilizes the strength of molecular techniques such as PCR, qPCR, Genetic Sequencing, AFLP and Gene Mapping for both diagnostic and R&D purposes.
Pisces is one of a few labs in the world that can test for Chytrid Fungus (B. dendrobatidis) using molecular techniques. Other diagnostic tests include Ranavirus in Amphibeans and Whirling Disease (M. cerebralis) in both fish and T. tubifex worms. Pisces has also designed a multiplex qPCR assay that specifically targets the presence of T. tubifex and differentiates between the four lineages  known to occur in North America.
